Why is YY-640 so resistant to bending?

**Soft-Hard Segment Copolymer Structure:** YY-640 consists of alternating flexible "soft segments" (typically composed of polyether or polyester polyol) and rigid "hard segments" (formed by the reaction of diisocyanate and chain extender). The specially designed soft segments provide high elasticity and deformation capacity.¹

**Microphase Separation Characteristics:** YY-640 exhibits partial phase separation at the microscale between its soft and hard segments, forming domains resembling an "island structure." The hard segments act as physical crosslinking points dispersed within the soft segment matrix, resisting deformation while allowing the material to efficiently recover its original shape during bending, preventing crack formation.

**High Resilience and Fatigue Resistance:** YY-640 rapidly releases stress during repeated bending, minimizing fatigue damage. Its molecular chains possess excellent freedom of movement, maintaining flexibility even at low temperatures (e.g., -20°C) and remaining unbroken after 200,000 bending cycles.

** Adjustable mechanical properties: YY-640 controls hardness, elasticity, and flexural durability by adjusting the ratio, type, and crosslinking density of soft and hard segments.
